Training and Customization

Empowering students with the skills to make decisions and act on those decisions to the point where the instructor becomes a facilitator is a methodology that takes practice.
As a result, educators, organization leaders, volunteers, etc. who wish to become certified to use the GenEI curricula, attend a two-day workshop. During that time they go through the curricula and practice many of the hands-on activities. Upon successful completion, each educator receives a certificate, the complete curriculum manual, complete activity examples and much more. Realizing that change occurs, future updates of the curricula will be sent electronically on a secure educator site.
Recognizing that every program is different, every classroom setting is different and every youth group is different, GenEI staff follows up the certification training with customization meetings. At these meetings, the curriculum is customized to fit the unique characteristics of the youth group or program.
Educators are then fully equipped with activities, resources, assessments, and all the tools to successfully deliver the entrepreneurship education program.
Because the GenEI process begins at Stage 1 (What We Do), entrepreneurship educational setting receives continuous community support. From mentors to volunteers, anyone instructing is supported.
In addition, all educators are provided with assistance to develop individual school/location expos as well as regional Showcase events.
